Product Overview
Corrosion-resistant shell & tube heat exchangers utilize 316L austenitic stainless steel or 2205 duplex stainless steel for tubes and tube sheets, significantly enhancing resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion. Suitable for seawater cooling, saline wastewater, and acidic process fluids.
Material Selection Guide
- 316L: Moderate corrosive media, e.g. process water with low chloride levels
- 2205 Duplex Steel: High chloride environments, e.g. direct seawater cooling
- 2507 Super Duplex: Extreme corrosion, e.g. hot seawater, hydrochloric acid
- Titanium: Seawater and strong oxidizing media
